Denton CAD Value Involved in Judicial Appeals
Despite only having 719 cases, Denton County judicial appeals were for properties worth a combined $21.78 billion in value. This translates into $30.29 million for every case. It would be a criminal understatement to say that a lot of money is on the line for every lawsuit. The value protested by these lawsuits has quintupled in the past decade, and 2024’s value was 474.47% higher than that of 2014.
Multi family homes have been the most valuable for much of the last decade, with 2024 seeing $11.36 billion of value being contested. Commercial properties almost closed the gap with $9.40 billion. Single family homes weighed in at $226 million. The emphasis on housing in values is a solid demonstration of the growth of Denton County in the past decade. Both apartments and single family homes are shooting up in value, and with the housing crisis in full swing, will only keep heading in that direction.
