Appraised Value of Resolved Judicial Appeals

As judicial appeals are dependent on the speed of the court system, some may take years to be cleared. Lawsuits from multiple years were resolved in 2024 for a combined value of $16.59 billion. Along with 2024 being the year with the highest value filed, it also had the most appeals resolved on record. 2023 had set the record for the most value contested, but resolutions were low, as lawsuits take time to make it through the courts. This is why 2024 exploded in value, more than doubling the 2023 total.
